Privacy policy

ReMind Agile is a private place to reflect. This page explains in plain words what we keep about you, why, who else handles it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it.

The short version

  • What you write is private to your account. Other people using ReMind Agile cannot see it.
  • We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
  • You can download everything we hold about you, or delete your account and all of it, whenever you like, from Settings.
  • Visit counting (Google Analytics) is optional and only starts if you say yes.

Who we are

ReMind Agile is an early project made by an independent Scrum Master based in Moldova, and it is the one that decides how your information is used. To reach us about your information, write to hello@remindagile.com or use “Contact us” in the footer once you are signed in.

What we keep, why, and for how long

Your account
Your name, email address and password (stored scrambled, so not even we can read it). We need these to let you sign in and to email you when you ask for it. Why we may use it: to provide the service you asked for. How long: until you delete your account.
Your reflections
What you write when you reflect: the situation, your thoughts, the feelings you pick, the experiment, your reminder date, and anything you add when you close a case. This is the heart of the service. Why: to provide the service you asked for. How long: until you delete the reflection or your account.
Your profile details
Optional: role, headline, location, years of experience, areas of experience and profile photo, so they follow you to any device. Why: to provide the service you asked for. How long: until you remove them or delete your account.
Your activity
The days you opened your profile, to show your week and your streak. Why: to provide the service you asked for. How long: until you delete your account.
Reminders
Only if you turn notifications on: an address your browser gives us for sending you a reminder, and your time zone. Why: because you asked for reminders (your choice, which you can switch off any time). How long: until you switch reminders off or delete your account.
Messages you send us
Feedback and contact messages, with your name and email, so we can read and answer them. Why: our legitimate interest in answering you and improving the service. How long: until you delete your account, or you ask us to delete them. You can also write to us without an account; those messages are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your email, if you ask to be told when shared experiences open
Only the email address you type into the “Be the first to know when shared experiences open” box on the home page, and the time you added it. Why: your consent, so we can send you one message when shared experiences open. You can leave your email without an account. How long: until we have sent that message, or until you ask us to remove it (write to hello@remindagile.com), whichever comes first. We do not use it for anything else.
Emails we send you
Only what you need: a link to reset your password if you ask for one, and a short note when your password is changed. Why: to keep your account safe.
Visit counts (Google Analytics)
Only if you say yes: which pages are visited, roughly what kind of device and browser is used, and an approximate location. It never receives what you write in your reflections. Why: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. How long: Google keeps this for up to 14 months.

Cookies and storage in your browser

  • Sign-in cookie (always needed). It keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Without it, the service can’t work.
  • Saved in your browser. A copy of your profile details so pages open quickly, your cookie choice (with the date you made it), and a half-finished first reflection if you try the service before signing up. These stay on your device.
  • Google Analytics cookies (only if you say yes). If you say no, nothing from Google Analytics loads. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.

Who else handles your information

  • Our hosting server. It holds the database where your account and reflections are stored.
  • Resend, our email service (United States). It sends the emails above for us, so it sees your name, email address and the message.
  • Google (United States). Google Sign-In (if you choose to sign in with Google: Google shares your name, email address and profile photo with us), Google Analytics (only if you accept it), and Google Fonts for the site’s typefaces.
  • Your browser’s notification service. If you turn reminders on, the company behind your browser (for example Google, Apple or Mozilla) delivers the notification.

We don’t share your reflections with anyone else, and we don’t sell your information.

Information sent to other countries

Some of the companies above are based in the United States, so your information can be handled outside Moldova and the European Union. We choose providers that protect personal data under their standard data protection terms. You can avoid Google Analytics by saying no to the cookie choice.

Your rights, and how to use them

You have the right to:

  • See what we hold about you. Settings → Account → Download my data gives you a file straight away.
  • Correct it. Change your name and profile details in Settings, and edit any reflection.
  • Delete it. Settings → Account → Delete my account removes everything, including messages you sent us. Copies kept in our backups disappear within 7 days.
  • Take it with you. The downloaded file is yours to keep and reuse.
  • Ask us to limit how we use it, or object to a use, by writing to hello@remindagile.com.
  • Not be judged by a machine. We make no automatic decisions about you. The “insight” shown after a reflection is only a prompt built from your own answers.
  • Withdraw your consent to analytics at any time with “Cookie settings”.

If you write to us, we answer within one month.

If something goes wrong

If a security problem exposes your information in a way that puts you at risk, we will tell you, and we will tell the National Centre for Personal Data Protection within 72 hours of finding out.

Backups

We keep backup copies of our database so your reflections are not lost if something breaks. Each backup is deleted after 7 days. If you delete your account, your information is removed straight away and disappears from the backups within 7 days. If we ever have to restore a backup, we delete the accounts that were deleted since then again. For that we keep only the account’s number and the date it was deleted, nothing else.

Keeping it safe

Passwords are stored scrambled. Connections to the site are encrypted. Sign-in cookies can’t be read by other websites. No system is perfect, so please don’t write names or personal details of other people in your reflections. We ask you to say “a stakeholder” or “my team” instead.

Complaints

If you feel we handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova (datepersonale.md) or to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

ReMind Agile is made for working adults. It is not meant for anyone under 16.

Changes to this page

If we change how we handle your information in a way that matters, we will update this page and, for big changes, tell you in the app. The date and version at the top show the latest one. Our terms of use are on their own page.
